Encoustic Wax

I am trying my hand of the encoustic wax and paper napkins.  Here is the beginning

I will be trimming with card and adding elements. 

I am just not sure of the napkins because when I take a class and made these cards.

I will wait until I finish the card to past judgment.

Painting with Wax

I had a class form my favorite store - Rubberstamp Fantasy. (Not you just love the name).  Sorry I digress I told a class from Rosemary Marino. It was called Painting with Wax and it was so fun.  It is all about textures and how you hold the craft iron.  It does make you think out sides of the box of backgrounds and how yu can use the image.
You take your craft iron and some encoustic wax and create texture backgrounds. The background that we practiced are following (the trick was how you hold the iron).  All the images were using glossy paper.

What I have been up to......

This past weekend and took 2 classes at my favorite stamp store (Rubberstamp Fantasy).


I took classes from Rosemary Marino.

FIRST CLASS - encoustic wax.
Practices makes perfect on this technqiue. I will get better the more I do it. Here are my cards.

I have never used the artist tissue paper (bleeding). This is my least favorite card.



3 - Foil Paper
I used the glue pad and glitter as a background.

Encoustic Wax

I took a class a couple of weeks ago where you make cards using printed napkins and wax. It is hard to explain but we tore the napkins and then used beeswax to create a card. I am not good at explaining techniques. My teacher was Rosemary Marino . Now I am on a quest for printed napkins.

Clear Beeswax

Colored Beeswax

Red Line Tape

Cardstock

Sorry for the bad pictures I need to learn how to use Photoshop Elements so I can edit and crop them. Maybe I will get a new camera for Christmas.
